The Cascadia Wildlife Lab brings together faculty, research biologists, and computational scientists from Oregon State University, the USDA Forest Service, NCASI, and partner institutions — each leading their own programs, and each contributing specialized expertise toward a shared goal: evidence-based conservation.
That goal shapes how we work. Conservation decisions are only as good as the evidence beneath them, and the evidence is only as good as the methods that produced it. So we pair large field datasets with molecular, analytical, and computational capabilities strong enough to get real answers out of them — and we document those answers to standards that hold up under scientific and regulatory scrutiny.
We offer the analytical depth of a research university and the logistical capacity of a wildlife consulting program — serving agencies, tribes, NGOs, and academic partners across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
