CascadiaTools worked example: Spatial capture-recapture (closed population density)
Module: scr

These data are SIMULATED, so the true answer is known. See README_data.md.

To try it:
  1. Unzip this folder somewhere you can find it.
  2. Open the folder in Claude Code (with the CascadiaTools plugin installed).
  3. Paste the prompt below.

Prompt:
I have bobcat camera-trap data in this folder: a camera file with UTM coordinates, whether each camera was on a trail and which weeks it worked; a file of photo-detections of individually identified bobcats by week and camera; and a 400 m habitat grid with canopy cover and a flag for the reservoir. Please estimate bobcat density and how many bobcats live in the area, and tell me whether density is higher where canopy cover is higher. Check that the method works for a design like mine before you trust it, and give me a report and figures I can put in a paper.

The analysis settings used for the published example are in config.yaml.
WALKTHROUGH.md shows every step the agent took and the results.
