CascadiaTools worked example: Species distribution from presence-only records (point process, Maxent, integrated with surveys)
Module: sdm-presence-only

These data are SIMULATED, so the true answer is known. See README_data.md.

To try it:
  1. Unzip this folder somewhere you can find it.
  2. Open the folder in Claude Code (with the CascadiaTools plugin installed).
  3. Paste the prompt below.

Prompt:
I have marten sightings in presence_records.csv (UTM 10N, metres; the file also has a few fisher records) and a 1 km habitat grid in covariate_grid.csv with forest cover, elevation and distance to road. Which habitat are martens associated with, and where are they most likely to occur? Most records come from near roads, so please correct for that. I'd like a report and figures for a paper.

The analysis settings used for the published example are in config.yaml.
WALKTHROUGH.md shows every step the agent took and the results.
